Beating Bowel Cancer is a leading UK charity for bowel cancer patients, working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer.

We provide a range of services including: 

  • Specialist Nurse Advisory service, offering emotional support and guidance.
  • The only bowel cancer national patient-to-patient network – Patient Voices Group – providing telephone support or ‘matching’ patients with similar disease experiences.

At the BBC, colorectal cancer is given a brief overview and the different causes behind it are examined (genetics, familial adenomatous polyposis, ulcerative colitis).
